While there is a lot of controversy to whether “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”, it is, however, important to make the first meal of the day count. Here, I have provided a list of 10 weight loss friendly breakfast recipes that are a sure-fire way to get you on track with your weight loss goals.

1. Egg and Toast Breakfast Cups

This an excellent weight loss friendly breakfast to help get your day started. You just have to take the bread slices, remove the crusts, and shape them into a muffin and crack the egg into each one. This whole process is relatively easy and takes about 30 minutes in total.

2. Avocado Bacon and Eggs

Everything you could love in one healthy meal, avocado, bacon, and eggs! Another plus to this recipe, it can be prepared in under 20 minutes! This personally reminds me of potato skins, just with a healthy twist put on it! It’s not only a simple and easy breakfast, but it’s also healthy and filling.

3. 5- Ingredient Baked Egg Mushrooms

Another simple, yet weight loss friendly breakfast recipe that can be fully prepped in under 30 minutes. I personally love mushrooms, so for any you mushroom lovers, this is a win-win. It’s literally only 5 ingredients, mushrooms, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Quick, easy, and healthy, what could be better?

4. Healthy Breakfast Bread Pudding

This recipe does not prep quite as quickly as some of the others, but I can promise it is delicious and well worth it to make it. There are two ways baking it, while both ways are still delicious, one is definitely quicker. It can be baked in the oven for the best flavor, or if you want a quick fix easy made breakfast, you can also make it in the microwave.

5. Healthy Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Cookies for breakfast, why not? This recipe was made with the intention of it being ideal for losing weight. The high fiber content from the oats, low sugar value from Truvia, and the banana and peanut butter added for amazing flavor, what’s not to love?

6. The Ultimate Egg-white Veggie Omelette

Who doesn’t like a good omelet to start off their morning? This recipe is great because it is packed with nutrition to get your day rolling the healthy way. It’s high in protein, high in healthy-fats to make sure you’re full, and it is low in calories and carbohydrates. It’s the perfect weight loss friendly breakfast!

7. A Big Ol’Healthy Breakfast Burrito

I personally love breakfast burritos, so this was the perfect breakfast treat for me. If you love breakfast burritos, then you are surely going to love this one! It consists of scrambled egg whites, spinach, quinoa, lentils, tomatoes, and greek yogurt and avocado are optional (I prefer them on there). It’s high in healthy fats, high in lean protein, and low in sugar.

8. Sweet Potato And Chicken Sausage Breakfast Skillet

This recipe does take a little prep time, but it is so delicious that it totally makes it worth the effort. It consists of sweet potatoes, onions, bell peppers, garlic, chicken sausage, parsley, salt and pepper, and of course cheddar cheese. This one is my personal favorite!

9. Super Healthy Smoothie Bowls

Simple, yet delicious! Who doesn’t want to enjoy a healthy smoothie for breakfast? one of these recipes consists of only 4 ingredients, which are raspberries, banana, almond butter, and almond milk. For a garnish (optional), you top it off with more raspberries, chia seeds, blueberries, mint leaves, or some mixed nuts and seeds. Easy to prep, can be done in under minutes!
